What a fantastic place to stay, very cute clean rooms with breathtaking views. Breakfast and Dinner is included every day of your stay and its family style home cooking is always delicious. We will be back to see the other seasons in the Blue Ridge Mountains since we have found such a wonderful and affordable place to stay. Hoyt Johnson the owner is usually around the lodge. Stop in and say hello.
We stayed in one of the cabins. Absolutely loved it. Watched the sunrise over the mountains. Then had breakfast in the lodge restaurant. The food was top notch as was the service.
Superlative views, cute woodsy cabins, good food and lots of it. I stayed once many years ago and in late November '25 and both times just loved it. Highly recommend for the heavenly view which changes all day.
When we arrived they gave us a dirty room with trash and used wine glasses and when dinner time came they set up a table for everyone but us for some reason but the front desk was happy to fix these things ASAP but cleaning crew still took an hour to get to our room and we didn't get in till 5p.m.. That being said, the view is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen and the secluded location means you don't have to hear any loud cars or anything while you're trying to sleep. After the room was cleaned, the room was lovely. I forget the front desk lady's name but she was very kind and helpful.
Very quiet and peaceful, staff is super friendly. The views are amazing. The dining room has huge windows for the perfect views. There is a quite reading room, and a deck as well.
What a fabulous experience!! Have already booked the same room for the same weekend next October. Met some lovely people. Some couples have been meeting there each fall for 33 years!!!! The lodge with it's welcoming fireplace and great coffee was a big hit. The mountain views are spectacular. Couldn't have had a better time!!!!
Beautifully situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains -- what a view from my room! Simple but excellent meals. The building I stayed in is obviously quite old and some updating would make it more esthetically appealing but I had everything I needed and it was clean. The porch on the main building was a perfect location for my group to socialize. I hope I can return next Sept for the same retreat. Thank you, Big Lynn Lodge, for a lovely visit
Stayed here recently and had the best time!! Our room was nice and clean, and had a great view of the mountains. The Lodge also serves free breakfast and dinner, which we didn't know beforehand and was a nice surprise. The food was really good! The employees were also all so nice and helpful. 1000% coming here again!
